Fish’n’Chip run to Hunstanton

Join Keith Tremeer’s early-evening fish’n’chip run to Hunstanton on Thursday 24th August. Keith sketches out his trip to the coast …

We’ll set out from Tesco Milton at 4:00pm, initially heading north-east along the B1102 towards Fordham, then north through Prickwillow to Littleport and onto the A10 to Downham Market. Picking up the A149 at King’s Lynn we then head to Hunstanton, arriving around 5:30pm after a ~65-mile journey
Once parked up, riders will be at liberty to purchase the take-away meal of their choice, with several options within a 5-minute walk. Savvy diners will review Henry’s & Fishers (both offering eat-in options for those who prefer) & their competitors in advance. But whatever they opt for, those in the know will head to the large grass area by the bandstand for some social, outdoor dining. Those who believe that a trip to the seaside isn’t complete without an ice cream will be able to stroll along to The Hunstanton Ice Cream Company
The 60-mile route back heads back down the A149 to King’s Lynn, then follows the A47 to Ring’s End and the A141 to March and on to Huntingdon, where the ride will end in the Riverside Carpark. With the return journey estimated to take 1hr 20mins, riders should arrive in Huntingdon around sunset.

Open to Full Members as well as Associates who’ve had at least one observed ride
Limited to 16 bikes. Pillion riders welcome
Briefing: 3:50pm   |   Total distance 125 miles   |   Refuelling stop leaving Hunstanton

Motorcycle Live 2022

19 – 27 November NEC, Birmingham

CAM is considering organizing a day trip to visit the 2022 MotorcycleLive show at the NEC, Birmingham. The proposal is to have a group ride from the Cambridge area (with a breakfast stop along the way), arriving at the NEC just before midday with participants then free to browse the show at their leisure. A group return will be scheduled to leave the NEC at around 4pm, but participants will be at liberty to return independently if they prefer

Tickets for any day of the show, if bought in advance, cost £22 each online. If we can get a group of 10 or more participants, tickets are available for £19.80 each. In all cases a £2 ordering fee applies to each order. Ticket protection insurance is also available (which covers, among other things, illness and adverse weather conditions) for £3.25 per ticket. If you leave it to buy your ticket on the day at the NEC, it will cost £27. Motorcycle parking at the NEC is free (and in a covered area)
