Winter Tour at Silverstone

Of undoubted interest to the fans of motorsport amongst us, The Silverstone Circuit is offering Winter Tour dates in December: these include a 60-minute guided bus tour of the track, providing a unique opportunity to learn about iconic moments in motorsport history in the place where it all happened. There will also be time to walk on the circuit, access the pit wall and wave the checkered flag at the finish line. Afterwards, you can enjoy a hot drink and mince pie, then explore the Silverstone Museum

The cost is £29.95 per person – with the ticket to the Silverstone Museum serving as an annual pass, so you can visit for free for 12 months

CAM is considering organizing a ride out to Silverstone for Members & Associates who would be interested in the Winter Tour. Potential dates being considered are Saturday 10th, Saturday 17th or Monday 19th December 2022. The initial proposal is to book the bus tour of the circuit for mid-morning, leaving time for a visit to the Museum afterwards, with lunch in a nearby pub/restaurant before returning to the Cambridge area. We’ll aim to arrive back before sunset (ie just before 4pm)

Keith Tremeer is offering to coordinate and lead this trip. In order to gauge whether there would be sufficient support for us to proceed with this trip, those who have a real interest in participating should email Keith. As demand for tickets is expected to be high, please ensure that you indicate your interest no later than Wednesday, 16th November, after which Keith will get in touch with all interested parties with further information/instructions
