Wednesday 21st January – Paul Norman leads his first mid-week winter ride of 2026, with Tim Smith tail-ending, on a 143-mile round trip with a fish’n’chip lunch at Wells-next-the-Sea. The ride is restricted to full Members and a maximum of seven bikes (plus Paul & Tim). Paul’s winter sorties are always very popular, so don’t delay requesting a place. See the email anouncing this ride to contact Paul, who is handling bookings. Here’s his description of the day:
Following the mandatory 9:20am briefing , we’ll be setting off from Fourwentways Services at 9.30am on a route which will take us east of Thetford, with a coffee stop along the way, and through Dereham & Fakenham for a fish’n’chip lunch at Wells-next-the-Sea. After lunch we’ll head down to Walker’s Café at Barton Mills, where we can enjoy a hot drink. The formal ride will end at Walker’s at around 3.30pm, with riders heading home solo or in informal groups
