Aldeburgh

A 300-mile round trip to a Derbyshire village with a tragic, heroic history. The loop takes in some of the best roads & most interesting towns of the Peak District

Humber Bridge
One from the vaults… The journey to Barton-upon-Humber is split into five sections, and uses scenic twisty roads through Lincolnshire. The return journey is in two sections, using mainly trunk roads passing through Lincoln and Peterborough

Ironbridge
With the origins of this route lost in time, so it would be worth poring over the details before setting off as there may have been changes to road layouts since it was created. In a nutshell: pass north of Rugby and Birmingham on the way to historic Ironbridge, then pass south of those towns on the way back

You’ll soon forget time spent on the M1 & M25 once you get to Sussex and begin the loop through the South Downs. Visit Beachy Head & Worthing along the way
