Sunday ride to Willow Tree Farm

May 18 @ 9:30 am - 1:30 pm

Led by Patrick Ryan & tail-ended by Robert Silver, this rideout heads west to Willow Tree Farm

The ride starts at BP Newmarket Road, Cambridge. At 32 miles the outward journey is shorter than usual, but it would be a shame to miss last breakfast orders! With that in mind, we leave promptly at 9:30am, heading west towards Newmarket, to pick up the B1063 through Ashley & Lidgate, before branching off to Hawkedon & Boxsted. Skirting Glemsford village we reach the A1092 for the final stretch west to Willow Tree Farm

Animal lovers might wish to bring something to feed the farm’s ostriches & goats. Food lovers can peruse the breakfast menu here

The 41-mile return journey passes through Cavendish & Foxearth on the way to Sudbury, where we follow the A131 through the town. With Sudbury behind we once again pick up rural roads, heading north east again through the Yeldhams & New England and passing north of Haverhill. We pass through West Wratting, Lark Hall & Six Mile Bottom and on to the A1303, where the ride ends on a layby shortly before the A14 roundabout (J35)
