Dave Freeman had originally planned to lead this ride on 15th Feb but the weather forecast put paid to that.
After some re-arranging, we are now scheduling it again for Sunday 22nd Feb. Sadly Dave is not available to lead, but Mark Fox has stepped in with Alan Triggs bringing up the rear. Thanks to all 3 for making this possible!
“We meet at the BP Childerley Gate service station by 9.20am latest for a 9.30am departure. From there we’ll head south-west through Bourn, Northstowe, Gamlingay and Everton. Passing over the A1 we’ll continue towards our breakfast stop via Blunham, Moggerhanger and Willington.
Breakfast will be at The Barn @ Cardington, which is just before the village of Cardington. A table has been reserved for us and the breakfast menu can be found here.
Our return journey takes us past Old Warden and the Shuttleworth Collection before a short stretch through Biggleswade. With the bright lights of the town behind us we head to our finish point via Potton, Gamlingay and Great Gransden, before finishing at Caxton Gibbet Service Area.
The ride is open to full Members and Associates (with the approval of your Observer) and will be limited to a total of 10 participants. Total distance is around 60 miles with a total of around 2 hours on the road.
Please arrive at the Childerley Gate service station no later than 09.20 for the mandatory pre-ride briefing, ensuring your bike is suitably fuelled.”
