Beaten by lashing rain last month but not defeated, Paul Norman re-runs his aborted first mid-week winter ride of 202: a 155-mile round trip with a fish’n’chip lunch at Wells-next-the-Sea. The ride is restricted to full Members and a maximum of eight bikes (plus Paul). Here’s his description of the day:
Following the mandatory 9:20am briefing , we’ll be setting off from Fourwentways Services at 9.30am on a route which will take us east of Thetford, with a coffee stop along the way, and through Dereham & Fakenham for a fish’n’chip lunch at Wells-next-the-Sea. After lunch we’ll head down to Walker’s Café at Barton Mills, where we can enjoy a hot drink. The formal ride will end at Newmarket South services on the A14.at around 3.30pm, with riders heading home solo or in informal groups
