Group organised ride

October 5 @ 9:30 am - 1:30 pm

This ride will be led by Keith Curtis and tail-ended by Barry D.

An Essex Escapade

On 5th October Keith Curtis will lead the Sunday ride into Essex; a county that is becoming his second home!

Leaving the BP Petrol Station on Newmarket Road (CB5 8AA / desk.caked.powering) we cross the A14 before turning right towards Six Mile Bottom.  Staying off the major roads as much as possible we make our way to our destination (The Hub Farm shop and Light Bites, CM3 1BL) on the outskirts of Chelmsford via West Wratting,Steeple Bumpstead, The Shalfords and Rayne.

The Hub has asked that we pre-order breakfast requirements – https://thehubfarmshop.com/breakfast-menu/ – please confirm your choice when reserving a place on this ride.

Leaving The Hub at about mid-day we return to our starting point, again using B roads (and less!) as much as possible.  Riding northwards we pass through the villages of Great Saling, Great Bardfield, The Sampfords, Linton and Balsham before eventually arriving back at the BP station via Fulbourn and Teversham.

The outward leg of the ride is approximately 43 miles and the return leg is approximately 42 miles.

This ride is limited to 12 riders (including RL and TE).
