Christmas dinner 2021

With the restrictions which prevented us gathering last year behind us, we are delighted to once again be organising Christmas dinner for our members & associates. Following hot on the success of our recent barbecue at the FootPrints Café at Sawston Free Church, we have booked this venue for our exclusive use on the evening of Saturday 11th December, where we hope to see as many of you & your partners as possible

If you haven’t yet booked a place, you can download the booking form here. Having made your selections from the 2- or 3-course menu options, please return your completed form to Catherine Ryan. Payment should be made to the Club at the time of booking – full details are in the booking form

To ensure your places, please make your payment & return the booking form not later than Thursday 18th November

We look forward to seeing you there…

Update: Motorcycle Live 2021

Monday 17 October: several members have expressed interest in a weekday group ride to Motorcycle Live 2021. Wavering full members can contact Keith Tremeer by the newly extended 24th October deadline to find out more!

Motorcycle Live 2021 4 – 12 December NEC, Birmingham

Tentative planning is underway for a CambsIAM group ride from Cambridge area to this year’s show. This will likely involve a breakfast stop en route, with arrival at the NEC just before midday. Participants will then be free to browse the show at their leisure. A group return will leave the NEC at around 4pm, but with participants at liberty to make their own way back

Advance tickets are £19.50 (plus a £1.50 fee per booking). For a group of 10 or more, the price falls to £17.55. Ticket protection insurance is available (this covers, among other things, adverse weather conditions) for £2.65 per ticket. Tickets purchased on the day cost £25. Motorcycle parking in a covered area at the NEC is free. Pricing & conditions

Interested in coming along? E-mail Keith Tremeer indicating if you would be able to participate on a weekday, or could only take part on a Saturday or Sunday. Please contact Keith no later than Sunday 24th October. Keith will keep in touch regarding next steps

Admittedly, not everyone rides through the winter months, and a coach trip might make for a more comfortable outing. But we are, after all, advanced motorcyclists and should be able to cope with cold weather, a little drizzle and, if necessary, riding after sunset. With tickets valid for any day of the show, we could have the flexibility of choosing, closer to the event, the best day in terms of weather. Alternatively, by purchasing ticket protection insurance, you will be protected under all scenarios
