All day ride with Triumph factory visit

Keith Tremeer has organised and will lead this all-day ride to the Triumph factory on Sunday 31st May 2020. The day includes an exclusively CambsIAM Factory Tour lasting around 1½ hours
Update – this ride is now fully booked

Whilst the Factory Tour is the main attraction, this all-day ride will offer some enjoyable country riding (around 2 hours in each direction), and the opportunity for lunch in the company of friends. There will be time to visit the Triumph Motorcycle Exhibition to purchase clothing & memorabilia

Meet the Examiner evening

Although the evening is primarily aimed at Associates working towards their Advanced Rider test, Meet the Examiner is always a very popular event and all Members are welcome

No two presentations by serving PC Simon Burgin (Forensic Collision Investigator & IAM Examiner) are the same, but he is sure to cover many aspects of motorcycle safety & roadcraft,
A very entertaining speaker, Simon will offer a talk which provides invaluable insights to those who are newer to motorcycling and is of great interest to those who’ve been riding longer

Associate Theory Evening

Thursday April 9th, 7:30-9:30pm, Orwell Pavilion. Full details in the Events Calendar

This interactive session will be led by National and Local Observer Chris Curryer

The evening is primarily aimed at Associates preparing for their Advanced Test, but full Members are also welcome for a refresher on the theory of advanced riding. Observers are also encouraged to attend for their valued insight and experience. Discussions are lively and new topics are always raised

Biker Down dates 2020

Could this be the time to brush up your first-aid skills on a free course specifically for motorcyclists? Cambridge Fire & Rescue have just released the 2020 Biker Down dates, with a course every month from March to November

The hands-on events take place on a Sunday at St Ives Fire Station, presented by volunteer fire officers and Air Ambulance medics. Upon completion you receive a biker’s first aid kit to keep under your saddle. CambsIAM members who attended in 2019 praised the high quality of the course
